Fall Semester's Final Exam



Our Final exam for this semester will be in two parts. Part I is scheduled for Friday, January 15, 2010. It will comprise 15 to 20 short-answer questions. Part II is scheduled for Tuesday, January 19, 2010 and it will have 25 multiple-choice questions.





Topics to study for part II of the exam are as follows:
  • Latitude and Longitude (Polaris)
  • Time Zones (15 ° = 1 hour time difference)
  • Topographic maps (steep slopes vs. gentle slopes)
  • Gradient
  • Mineral Properties (ESRT, page 16)
  • Rocks (ESRT, pages 6 and 7)
  • Plate Tectonics and Continental Drifts (mainly plate boundaries)

Bring pencils, calculator, and Earth Science Reference Tables
