Mr. Longoria's Earth Science

Our Final exam for this semester will be in two parts. Part I is scheduled for Friday, January 15, 2010. It will comprise 15 to 20 short-answer questions. Part II is scheduled for Tuesday, January 19, 2010 and it will have 25 multiple-choice questions. Topics to study for part II of the exam are as follows: Latitude and Longitude (Polaris) Time Zones (15 ° = 1 hour time difference) Topographic maps (steep slopes vs. gentle slopes) Gradient Mineral Properties (ESRT, page 16) Rocks (ESRT, pages 6 and 7) Plate Tectonics and Continental Drifts (mainly plate boundaries) Bring pencils, calculator, and Earth Science Reference Tables

The final semester exam is scheduled in two parts as follows: Wednesday, January 16, 2008 (multiple choice) Thursday, January 17, 2008 (written). The test will include all material covered since the beginning of the semester (September to present). We will have a short review prior to the test day.
